Are you ready for a New York State Road Test? Don't have a vehicle to use?
After completing the 5-hour pre-licensing Course and learning how to drive, passing a road test is the final hurdle to obtaining a Driver's License. NYS Road Tests evaluate your ability to drive safely in traffic and turn properly, as well as parallel parking and k-turns. On your test day, an instructor will pick you up, provide transportation to the road test, and provide guidance for your exam. Of Course, the student is ultimately responsible for their road test results and should be prepared for the exam before setting up their road test. If a student is unprepared, our instructor can cancel or reschedule the road test.
An unprepared student is an individual who does not have the necessary paperwork or the technical driving skills to pass the road test successfully. Please CLICK HERE to see a list of the items that may cause you to lose points on your road test
Some benefits of using ABC for your Road Test Service include:
- a DMV Certified Driving Instructor will accompany you to the test
- you get a practice session with tips and pointers up to 45 minutes before the road test exam

5 Hour Pre-Licensing Class & Road Test: $165
Save $10 by purchasing the 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Class and Road Test together! After the 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Class is completed, we will schedule your road test service for you, at Emerson or East Rochester. Please call to schedule a 5 Hour class, we have limited seating capacity. Our Road test service includes:
- a 45 minute lesson with some tips and pointers before your test
- Using our vehicle to take your New York State road test
- Transportation from a Driving Instructor (within our service area)

How do I schedule my road test?
Our agents will contact you by phone when we receive your order to set up your appointment. We have a designated service area for each road test site, so we will select the location nearest you. We will be in communication with the DMV to set up your test, so there is no need to schedule it on your own.
What happens after my test?

If you fail, don't be discouraged! Your receipt from the examiner will list the actions that caused you to fail, and your instructor can explain the results to you. This will be a guide to improving your skills and you can reschedule and try again.
Can I use my own vehicle?
Unfortanately, no. Our vehicles have special safety equipment installed to protect our drivers, as well as additional insurance coverage specific to student drivers.
