Terms and Conditions

General:
All services at ABC School of Driving Inc, are by appointment only, and must be paid in advance. A signed copy of our terms and conditions, and waiver of liability must be on file for each student to begin scheduling training. Students must complete a health and wellness screening prior to each appointment.

Students are expected to come prepared for their appointments, to bring all necessary documents to complete their training, including, but not limited to: a face mask, NYS Photo Permit, NYS License, 5-Hour Course completion certificate, MV-262 Supervised Driving form. 

Classes start promptly, so it is suggested to show up at least 15 minutes early for your appointments.  Late arrivals past 15 minutes will not be admitted, and will be charged a cancelation fee, based on appointment type.

In-Car Instruction:
Appointment times are estimated. Driving instructors' availability may vary and cannot be guaranteed. Availability increases by scheduling appointments in advance.

Classroom Instruction:
We ask that our students help us to maintain and respect social distancing. and be patient with us in our offices, as we are allowing only 1 customer entry at a time. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the class time and bring your NYS permit/license, and a mask for entry.

COVID-19:
To maintain the health of our employees and our students, we have a NO Mask, NO Entry Policy.  We are requiring all individuals to wear a mask, while inside our business, or one of our vehicles, when in the presence of an/other individual/s. Any student that does not come prepared with a mask, will not be able to continue their scheduled training, and will subsequently incur a same day cancelation fee.

Screening for recent travel and wellness, as well as temperature checks, will be completed on all employees and students who enter our premises. Individuals who fail screening will be sent home, until 14 days have passed, or until they can provide proof of wellness or medical clearance (Cancelation fees will not be assessed for students who are ill).

Same Day Cancellations:
Students who come unprepared, no show, or late arrivals past 15 minutes, will be charged a same day cancelation fee, and rescheduled. Cancelation fees based on appointment type will incur as follows:

(a)  $20 will be charged for 45 Minute Driving Lessons, the 5-Hour Pre-licensing course and the 6 hour Defensive Driving class.

(b) $40 will be charged for 90 Minute Driving Lessons or Road Test Services.

Cancelation fees can be avoided by coming on time, prepared, or by contacting us to reschedule, 24 hours prior to an appointment by: phone, voicemail, or by sending an email to:  info@abcschoolofdriving.com

Refund Policy:
If the student has given prior notice of at least 24 hours, withdraws from or discontinues a prepaid course of instruction or series of lessons, before completion thereof, or from any other service for which pre-payment has been made, or if the school is unable or unwilling to complete such prepaid course of instruction or series of lessons, or to provide such other prepaid service, all payments made by the student to the school shall be refunded except:

(i) an amount equal to the enrollment fee, if any, specified in the contract or expressly receipted for, not to exceed the sum of $10 or 10% of the total, whichever is greater, specified cost of such course of instruction or series of lessons.

(ii) The school's per-lesson tuition charge for each lesson already taken by the student which charge shall be determined by dividing the total cost of such course of instructions or series of lessons by the number of lessons included therein.

(iii) Any tuition payments made over 1 year ago are subject to store credit only.
